History
St. Joseph¡¦s Center for Special Education was founded in 1975 by a Catholic Jesuit priest, Rev. Stephen Jaschko, S.J.
In order to provide extensive services and for better future development, St. Joseph Social Welfare Foundation was founded in 2006.
In the following year, the foundation established Sunrise Opportunity Center, a barrier-free building for persons with disabilities to learn and to grow.



Purpose
The purpose of St. Joseph Social Welfare Foundation is to help people with disabilities to obtain happiness under Christian values.



Mission
The mission of the foundation is to help individuals with disabilities to have a life of dignity and quality by giving them long term help.
